Jämähtääkö Windows 7 satunnaisesti?

Solved it.

Went into Windows\System32, took ownership of the wkssvc.dll file, the .dll corresponding to the Workstation service, and renamed it to wkssvc_CORRUPT.dll.
Then I went to start, typed cmd and ran it as Administrator, wherein I ran sfc /scannow to scan and fix bad/missing system files. This replaced the now "missing" wkssvc.dll with a clean copy from the repository, and after rebooting with Workstation enabled (set to Automatic) in services, VOILLA! No insta-freeze on start up.
I can't report on how long this non-freezing will go, but since the system would freeze within a minute of startup, and having changed nothing else apart from the wkssvc.dll, with the result of no more freezing on startup, I think it's a safe bet this fixed the Workstation issue at the very least.

If there are other causes for the freezes, as I'm sure there are, I hope this method will be able to fix them too, at least until MS pull their heads out of their rear ends and get to work on updating their new operating system to stop corrupting itself, because apart from that issue, it really is a splendid operating system.
